Girls lunch out and first time at this new restaurant in DUNLAP. Service was very good. Our order took longer than expected, but our server assured us it was coming. I really liked my chicken & Steak hibachi...steak was very good. Next time will see if you can have more vegetables than rice but over all it was good. Considering the few choices we have locally, I look forward to going back soon. Took sushi home to hubby and he stated it was outstanding.

I came here while on vacation seeing family. I ordered a California roll, Boston Roll, New York Roll, Mexican Roll, and an Alaska Roll. Where I live many of the rolls come with the roe on top of the sushi. These did not so I asked the waitress for a little cup of roe on the side. She was very polite and apologetic and said, the owner would not allow me to have any. I would have been perfectly happy to pay for the side of roe but to say I can't have any, that pissed me off.
The sushi was ok, I mean it's raw fish in Sale Creek, TN so, it's definitely not as good as I'm used to in NYC. Nor, is it served and presented like some of the better sushi places.
The mediocre sushi along with an owner who doesn't know anything about how to run a business meant I didn't enjoy my experience as will never return. Again, let me point out, I would have been happy to pay more money for a side of roe... he could have made more money yet, he wanted to be a jerk and only serve rolls his way. So, fine. Next time I want sushi I'll go to Chattanooga. -

I've been here for lunch several times and have grown to enjoy it. The service is always tip top. I love the ginger dressing-it's some snappy, salty goodness. I usually get one of the hibachi dishes. The flavor is great, the meats are cooked very well, and the rice is phenomenal. Plus, white/shrimp sauce...need I say more?
Could this place compete in a larger market? Probably not. But it's just right for Dayton. -

We were visiting Dayton while escaping the hurricane in Florida and visited this location twice. The first time we visited we had beer and one sushi role. The beer selection was small but the role we had was average. The spicy tuna role was average and due to this, we decided to come again. Yesterday however, we ordered Sashimi and were completely disappointed. First, let me highlight that we are not sushi snobs and my fiancee and I have no issue eating anywhere. The reason the experience was terrible was because we could tell the Sashimi was not even close to being fresh. All of the pieces for ~$22 had an odd taste to each of them. We ended up throwing the remaining Sashimi out and will likely not go there again... even when we visit Dayton again. I would suggest you stay clear of this place unless you need a quick lunch sushi role.
